What Is Gochujang Sauce?

Gochujang sauce is a staple in Korean cooking.

It’s a spicy, savory, and slightly sweet sauce made from gochujang paste.

Gochujang paste is a fermented Korean chili paste.

It’s made from red chili powder, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, and salt.

It’s perfect for those who love a bit of heat in their food!

You can find lots of different brands of the Korean chili pastes out there.

So find your favorite! Check an Asian market if you’re having trouble finding it.

Is Gochujang Sauce Korean?

Yes, gochujang sauce is a traditional Korean condiment.

It has been used in Korean cooking for centuries. Like.. centuries!

Though it probably hasn’t been packaged and shipped around the world so nicely for that long!

The unique flavor of gochujang comes from the fermentation process.

And it’s delicious by the way!

It’s used in many Korean dishes like bibimbap, tteokbokki, etc.

As far as Korean ingredients go, it’s a must-have in any Korean pantry!

How Long Does Korean Chicken and Noodles Last?

This kind of meal can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until heated through.

They’re perfect for meal prep and easy to grab for a quick lunch or dinner!

I find they actually get a bit more spicy and flavorful as they sit.

Which means leftovers are just as delicious!

How to Store Korean Chicken and Noodles?

Store leftover Korean Chicken and Noodles in an airtight container.

Be sure you let them cool to room temperature though.

When you put stuff in the fridge still hot, it sweats and becomes more mushy.

You can add a splash of water if needed to loosen the sauce when you reheat.

Then you’ll have an authentic Korean experience!

They also pair well with a fresh cucumber salad or steamed vegetables like bok choy.

For a heartier meal, serve with sticky rice or a Korean pancake.

A sprinkle of sesame seeds and a drizzle of sesame oil are yummy too!

You can use egg noodles for this recipe, but other types of noodles work well too.

Udon noodles are a great swap cause they’ve got a nice chewy texture.

Though if you’re going gluten free, be sure to check the rest of your ingredients.

Soy sauce usually has gluten in it.
