Similar to a Camembert cheese, you’ll find its taste is mild but delicious.

It tastes good on crackers, but it’s really good when paired with something with a little more flavor.

What Ingredients are in Brie Grilled Cheese?
Here’s the simple ingredient list you’ll need to create a yummy brie grilled cheese sandwich!
- Bread: A good bread like Sourdough bread, French bread, or Italian bread are all my breads of choice.
- Brie Cheese: Slices of brie cheese should be sliced thinly.
- Pear: You’ll also want the pears thinly sliced to go with the brie cheese.
- Thyme Leaves: Fresh thyme is optional but add SO much flavor to your easy sandwich.
- Salt and Pepper: Go ahead and add the salt and pepper to taste.
- Butter: Use real butter whenever possible for it’s health benefits and flavor.
Pro Tip:
- You can keep the skin on your pear or peel it off. Your choice.
- You can mess with the kind of bread but try not to pick sandwich bread as it’s too thin.

What Else Can Be Made with Brie?
When making an amazing brie grilled cheese sandwich, don’t stop with the pear.
Since brie has such a mild flavor, you can eat it with many other stronger flavors and it goes so well.
Try any of these flavor combinations for a to make one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches!
- Brie and Apple Grilled Cheese: Replace the sweet pears with a granny smith apple.
- Brie Grilled Cheese: Try just using brie on your grilled cheese with nothing else or other cheeses mixed together.
- Blueberry Brie Grilled Cheese: Try some fresh blueberries or blueberry jam!
- Blackberry Bacon and Brie Grilled Cheese: Fresh blackberries or blackberry preserves with bacon! Yum!
- Brie and Bacon Grilled Cheese: Or leave off the preserves and just enjoy that crispy bacon.
- Fig and Brie Grilled Cheese: Another excellent flavor combo is brie and figs!

Can Dogs Eat Brie Cheese?
Saturated fat can be hard on a dog’s system and brie cheese is loaded with it.
You’ll want to avoid a brie sandwich for your dogs.
Goat cheese and feta have similar problems so don’t feed those to your pups either.
Do You Eat the Rind on Brie Cheese?
You sure can!
While you can remove the rind, I find it’s often unnecessary and time consuming.
The rind has a similar flavor to the rest of the cheese.
You cannot tell if there is rind on or not in most cases.
But removing the rind can take a long time and can cause you to remove half the cheese with it.
So it’s up to you, but I’d just keep that rind on if I were you.
Where is Brie Cheese From?
Brie cheese was created in France.
It’s actually named brie because of the region where it was developed.
It can now be found all around the world, however, and for that I’m very thankful.
