Are German Pancakes German?

Despite their name, German Pancakes are not originally from Germany.

Sorry to all of you who thought you were getting authentic German food!

They are believed to have been created by German-American immigrants in the United States.

Though.. still created by people from Germany. Does that mean they are authentic? You choose I guess!

The name “Dutch Babies” is thought to be a corruption of “Deutsch,” the German word for German.

So they’re actually not Dutch either!
