Holy guacamole it’s heaven on a chip.
If you love Halloween and all the fun that comes with it, but hate complicated party dips and appetizers, then this is the dip for you!
This Blood of Frankenstein Chip Dip is hands amazing.
It all started as a condiment on our favorite Sweet Pork.
We LOVE dousing our sweet pork with this tasty sauce and then started to use it on everything.
We love it on pizza, nachos, tacos, baked potatoes, all kinds of meats and of course as a chip dip.
It took us all of 0.3 seconds to realize that this made a dang good chip dip.
If I were to be honest, I’d say that I have a jar of this in my fridge 300 of the 365 days in a year.
When I say it’s a staple in my house, I mean it.
Our biggest issue is keeping enough chips on hand and keeping our salt intake from all those chips down.
Last year, we were Boo’d during the Month of Halloween.
If you don’t know what being Boo’d is, you can find out more HERE.
We had a mystery family at church drop off a plate of cookies on our door anonymously with a note that said to pass it along.
I had just made a double batch of our favorite Cilantro Lime Dip.
My kids and I decided to pass a jar of this along with a bag of chips to a few families and decided to call it “The Blood of Frankenstein Chip Dip.”
We thought it was so creative that we also took a bag of chips and a jar of sauce to all of my daughters school teachers too.
Fun, easy and oh so tasty!
Plus it made for a fun, non sugary, Halloween treat!
When we think of Halloween, candy is always the first thing to pop into our heads.
We think of sugar, sugar and more sugar.
However Halloween can be so much more than just sugar!
This Blood of Frankenstein Chip Dip is just one example of a tasty treat that has nothing to do with sugar!
Another fun item to make is my Mummy Dogs.
Fun, spooky and tasty!
Seeing a bowl of candy and creepy cookies is always a fun idea on any party table.
However, it’s also nice to have a few non sugary treats too!
This Blood of Frankenstein Chip Dip takes only 5 minutes to prepare and can be used on SO MANY different foods!
There is really no reason not to make it.
Well, unless you don’t like cilantro.
If you don’t then I apologize for making you come all this way.
This Blood of Frankenstein Chip Dip is a fun quirky name for our Cilantro Lime Dressing and I guarantee your party guests, and friends will love it.
- 1 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) I use mayonnaise.
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 packet of ranch dry seasoning mix (or 2 Tablespoons)
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro, stems cut off.
- 1/4 cup of Salsa Verde
- 2 cloves of garlic or 2 teaspoons garlic paste
- Juice of 1 - 2 medium limes - about 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice.
- 1 Jalapeno, seeded (toss seeds unless you want heat, then add a few) Don't skimp on this...it really adds flavor to the dressing!
- Tortilla Chips
- Combine all ingredients into a blender.
- Blend well.
- Pour into a bowl and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Not only is this a tasty dip, it is also great as a sauce on meat, nachos and quesadillas!
