A few years ago, my family attended a party and White Chocolate Puffcorn was served.

My husband was the first to try it.

Now remember, my husband, Ben, doesn’t do sweets.

He is more of a salty snack guy than a sweets guy.

So the sheer fact that he tried this before I did, was a miracle.

After my husband tried the White Chocolate Puffcorn, he immediately brought me a little bowl of it and insisted I try it.

My husband NEVER gets excited about anything.

He is a low key, calm person.

So when he brought this treat to me to try, that was his equivalent of getting excited and saying “Janelle you have GOT to try this!”

I tried it and it was good, but quickly pointed out that it was just puffcorn and white chocolate.

It wasn’t a difficult thing to make.

He then requested I make it.

Skip forward a few years, and I still haven’t made it.

Really, I just kind of forgot about it.

And the one time a year he would mention it, I would always forget to pick up the ingredients at the store and thus we both would forget about it again.

So this year, when he mentioned it again….I immediately went to the store, bought the ingredients and within 24 hours made him a batch.

He was a happy guy.

I think it’s the whole sweet meets salty snack flavor combination that really appealed to him.

Either way, I finally got a gold star for making him his White Chocolate Puffcorn.

What surprised me the most though, was that my daughter also claimed it as her all time favorite treat.

Not to mention my sweets loving, chocolate obsessed, can SMELL sugar and find it anywhere 3 year old son, didn’t like it at all.  {GASP!}

I never thought I’d see the day when that kid didn’t like a form of sugar placed in front of him.

And yet, here it was.  He wasn’t the least bit tempted to sample, sneak or munch on this treat.  Which was A-OK with me.

Less sugar in his diet is a good thing.

The other three of us loved it.

So much so that we added a bag of this to our Teachers Christmas gift baskets this year.

I hope you don’t wait a few years to make this White Chocolate Puffcorn like I did.

Because it’s the fastest and tastiest treat that will please a crowd!

We love this 10 minute White Chocolate Puffcorn and you will too!

As claimed by my daughter, it is a MUST make treat tradition that everyone should experience!

Now if you really want to get a gold star award, then sneak some of this in your kids lunch!

I guarantee they’ll come home happy!

Well, at least mine did!

  1. I discovered the Puffcorn about 2 months ago and couldn’t think of anything better, until I saw this. White chocolate and puffcorn, I think I’m gonna be in heaven.

    • Hi Molly! Yes puffcorn can be found at Walmart or any local grocery store in the chip isle. Usually it’s by the pre-popped bagged popcorn in the chip isle. I can’t find the brand I use on Amazon but they have this brand – just to give you an idea of what you are looking for – http://amzn.to/2t3tTme

    • Susan, I’m not sure why your puffcorn isn’t crispy anymore. Mine is always still crisp. Perhaps your chocolate was too hot? I just don’t know. As far as crisping it up, I’m not sure it’s possible. 🙁

    • Nope! If you buy candy melts or melting chocolate you wont need any oil at all. It’s really only for if you melt chocolate chips. However if you want to do the chocolate chip method and don’t want to use coconut oil, then I suggest vegetable or canola oil (though vegetable would be my #2 choice). Chocolate chips melted down make a thick chocolate and the oil just helps thin the chocolate out so it’s easier to pour and work with.
