One of our all time favorite treats is chocolate puffcorn.  My kids are OBSESSED with it and we created this completely by accident.

I was really trying to come up with a fun Valentine’s Day gift for my daughter’s school teachers.  However after we finished making it we looked at it and didn’t think it looked very Valentine’s Day festive.

Instead it looked to us like a pile of bloody brains and thus by accident created this recipe for Creepy Chocolate Brains.

My kids LOVED it of course and thought it was so much fun with the spiders and cobwebs and instead of giving it to the teachers, we kept it for ourselves.

Instead we opted for Pink puffcorn for the teachers!  Which they all loved and appreciated!

Now if you love Halloween, then you will most definitely love this idea for Creepy Chocolate Brains.

This tasty treat isn’t too scary for little kids and adults will get a kick out of it too.

Simple, sweet and oh so tasty.

Though I better warn you that if you do make this, you should probably make a double batch. Our little family of 4 can easily down an entire batch in a day by ourselves.

Granted if you are serving other foods and snacks then you should be ok.

With the lights dimmed down and the candles flickering around the table, these Creepy Chocolate Brains are sure to look even creepier and spookier than they do in day light.

Some of our favorite ideas that we came up with to use your Creepy Chocolate Brains is to give them with a few spiders to the school teachers as a fun Halloween treat!

You can also include it as a party favor, in a school lunch, in a bowl of it on your Halloween table and of course share it with your friends at your local church Trunk or Treat festivities too!

The flavor of these is exactly like the White Chocolate Puffcorn.  The red itself isn’t flavored, just fun for looks.
