Homeade Honey Butter

Imagine for a moment, hot cornbread coming out of the oven.Cutting a slice and smothering it in homemade honey butter.

Or how about homemade rolls, a hot toasted croissant or even your morning toast.

These are all ways that we enjoy eating honey butter.

Each bite is a little piece of heaven and I should probably warn you that you will eat twice as much as you normally would if you smother it in this stuff.

It’s irresistible and oh so good!

Which is why it makes for the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast in bed or brunch item.

Because for those who are challenged in the kitchen, this honey butter will taste great on pancakes, waffles or even burnt toast.

And we all know burnt toast desperately needs a little help!

So make Mother’s day a tasty one and serve her breakfast in bed or brunch with honey butter!

Never added sugar, but many years ago there was a commercial honey butter product with or without cinnamon. With cinnamon was my favorite and I have duplicated that. Thanks for the reminder!

Hi Susan! I found that the little bit of sugar helped the butter and honey flavors meld together better. Without it, I found my butter had a bit of a bite to it. Though you could leave the sugar out. The cinnamon idea sound fantastic! I'll have to try that soon!

I never added powdered sugar into mine before but i bet it makes that much sweeter. Now I must try it!

The first time I made it I didn't add powdered sugar to mine either. And it still tasted good. But the powdered sugar just helps blend the flavors a little bit better and adds a hint more of sweetness (and less butter taste). Hope you like it!
