Strawberry, Banana & Mango Smoothie

Sharing is caring!

If you love smoothies, this Strawberry Mango Smoothie is a family favorite and always a hit with my kids!  With a few simple ingredients you can whip up your own 5 minute smoothie for breakfast, snack or lunch!

This Strawberry Mango Smoothie is one of my favorite things to make! It isn’t watered down with ice, but instead filled with amazing ingredients and good ‘til the last drop!

Smoothies are always a sweet and refreshing drink. I don’t think there’s a certain time of year that should be reserved for something as delicious as this banana mango smoothie. If you can find the ingredients, it’s the right time to mix it up!

Everyone in my family agrees that a smoothie is one of the best drinks ever! We love smoothies because you can put all kinds of fruits and goodness in and come out with some delicious new drink creation. For us, smoothies are cheap and tasty and so easy to make at home!

My kids love this Strawberry Mango Smoothie, and I love that they are getting their daily fruit in without an argument!

How to make a Strawberry Mango Smoothie:

This Mango Smoothie recipe is so simple to make. In a blender, add orange juice, yogurt, mango, strawberries & banana. Place the lid on and blend until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add an additional 1/2 cup of orange juice. Pour into 2 cups, add straws and devour!

Pro tips:

  • If you like a watered down smoothie, you can add 1/2 – 1 cup of ice and blend with frozen fruit. I prefer mine to be pure with just fruit and yogurt.
  • If you’re not sure how thick you want your smoothie to be, start with less liquid and slowly add more in as you are blending until your smoothie is the consistency you prefer.
  • This recipe uses frozen fruit, but you could easily use fresh as well.  The riper the fruit, the sweeter the drink!

Smoothies are great snacks, or meals! We have made this banana mango smoothie for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Like I said, there is never a bad time for a smoothie.

How many carbs in a Strawberry Mango Smoothie?

This smoothie is pretty healthy overall! I don’t have an exact count for how many carbs are in this Banana Mango Smoothie, but similar smoothies range from 50-80 carbs per serving! Depending on how much of this delicious smoothie you pour into your cup, the amount will fluctuate.

How to tell when a Mango is ripe:

To tell if your mango is ripe, give it a gentle squeeze. If it’s ready to go, it will squish just slightly meaning that it is soft and fresh inside! Similar to a peach or an avocado– the mango will be just a tad soft when gently squeezing to test for ripeness.

What fruits go well with mango in a smoothie?

The best thing about any smoothie recipe is it is so customization! This banana mango smoothie has three vibrant flavors — but if you’re looking to make it even more your own there’s so much you can do!

We like to add strawberries and bananas with our mango smoothie.

More Mango Recipes:

Mangoes are an underrated fruit! Some of our favorite ways to use the mango fruit are:

How do you make a creamy smoothie?

The yogurt here really helps to make this strawberry mango smoothie creamy and delicious. By avoiding adding ice to your smoothie, the fruit and yogurt combo helps to keep the smoothie luxurious and creamy delicious.

I have also found that using frozen fruit helps to keep smoothies creamy because you certainly don’t need to add any extra ice to keep your smoothie chill. If you are planning ahead of time to make this strawberry mango smoothie, you can prep the fresh fruits by cutting them up into the cubes and placing them into an airtight bag and popping them in the freezer overnight! Making your own bags of frozen fruit is a great way to have pre-made smoothie packs on hand!

What is the best liquid to put in a smoothie?

Smoothies can be anything you want them to be! I like using fruit juices because they enhance the flavor! However, you can always use flavored water (coconut water, for example) or different kinds of milk! There’s no wrong way to make a smoothie, just put in your favorite flavors and try as many combos as you’d like.

One of my friends made this Banana Mango Smoothie with pineapple juice instead of orange juice! Delicious! The end result was more tart than my original recipe, but wow, it was amazing!  Adding another fruity flavor into the mix was really fun and delicious. If you try any other fruit juice combos in your banana mango smoothie, let me know how they turn out.

What can I put in a smoothie to thicken it?

For a thicker smoothie, you could add more Banana to your strawberry mango smoothie. Because bananas are so creamy, their texture helps to thicken up the smoothie. For a thinner smoothie, just add more liquid. In this case, juice!

Topping off your Strawberry Mango Smoothie:

If you’re looking to make this smoothie a bit more filling, you could top it with Chia Seeds, Coconut Shavings, or Cashews! We aren’t always that adventurous with small picky eaters (who might prefer to have a strawberry mango smoothie with a side of extra strawberries and chocolate), but fresh ingredients on top of your smoothie is a great way to turn it into a small, fresh meal.

Yes you can! It will be more acidic with the pineapple juice but it would offer a delicious flavor in my opinion! So glad you're a fan of the flavors too!
