Chocolate and orange in a cookie?
Maybe it sounds strange, but it’s a wonderful combination.
One of my sister’s favorite treats (or maybe they’re not her favorite, but they remind me of her) are those chocolate oranges.
You know, the ones you have to thunk on the table to separate the pieces?
Anyway, that was the inspiration for these cookies.
I started with my go-to chewy chocolate cookie recipe and tweaked it a little.
The orange flavor is not enough to overpower, but is definitely there.
And the two different chocolate chips really give an extra gooey goodness.
Gooey is always good when chocolate and cookies are involved.
