What Ingredients Are in Red Lobster Biscuits?

These restaurant-quality cheddar bay biscuits is the secret recipe you’ve been looking for!

  • Bisquick Mix: Using a biscuit mix like bisquick means it already has all purpose flour and a leavening agent.
  • Cheddar Cheese: I prefer sharp cheddar cheese but more mild cheddar cheeses would work too.
  • Milk: Any percentage of milk will work in this recipe.
  • Butter: Melt butter for easy spreading on the top of the biscuit.
  • Garlic Powder: Gives the biscuits that perfect garlic flavor.
  • Fresh Parsley: If you use dehydrated parsley be sure to adjust the amounts.

Pro Tips:

  • The cheese can be swapped out to give your a totally different flavor biscuit. Try Parmesan or Monterey Jack!
  • If you’re in the mood for something spicy, try mixing in a bit of taco or Cajun seasoning.
  • Onion powder would also go well with the garlic powder if desired.
  • The 1/4 cup butter I use is salted butter. You can use unsalted butter if desired also.

How to Make Red Lobster Biscuits

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits can be made in your own kitchen and each bite is delectable cheddar goodness! Enjoy!

  1. Mix Biscuit Dough: Mix the bisquick, cheese, and milk until dough forms and then scoop dough onto a baking sheet and bake!
  2. Combine Buttery Topping: While the biscuits bake, prep your buttery topping and spread on hot golden brown biscuits.
  3. Enjoy! Is this step even necessary? Obviously you’re going to enjoy these delicious biscuits!

Pro Tips:

  • Be generous with your buttery topping. Now is not the time to be stingy!
  • Use parchment paper on the cookie sheet to prevent the biscuits from sticking.
  • You could also spray baking sheet with cooking spray, but parchment paper will give an easier cleanup.
  • Don’t overmix! The dough just needs to be combined, not whipped together.
  • No need to do dry ingredients and then wet ingredients. Just mix it all together.

How to Store Leftover Red Lobster Biscuits

Any leftover savory cheddar bay biscuits should be stored in an airtight container or bag.

You can store the buttery biscuits on the counter and eat them as is or store them in the fridge.

If you store them in the fridge they’ll be best when reheated slightly.

Perk them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Be sure to use a microwave-safe bowl.

Or in the oven at 350 degrees until warmed through.

What Goes Well with Red Lobster Biscuits?

Serve this copycat recipe on its own as a savory snack, with soups, salads, sea food, or pastas!

Here’s some other easy restaurant quality recipes to get you started:

And don’t forget your breakfast options either! This makes the perfect breakfast sandwich when cut in half.

Try putting some bacon, over easy eggs, and a slice of cheese on the inside! Yum!

An easy egg sandwich never tasted so good!

Can I Freeze Red Lobster Biscuits?

Red Lobster Biscuits freeze really well! Once reheated they don’t lose any of their taste or texture either.

To freeze the famous biscuits, wait for them to come to room temperature.

A hot biscuit will cause condensation which can ruin the biscuits.

Then move them to a freezer bag or container. Be sure to label it with the name and date.

Let them thaw on the counter or reheat them in the microwave or oven.

Be sure not to cook too long as they don’t need to be baked again, simply warmed through.

How Long Do Garlic Cheddar Biscuits Last?

You can store red lobster garlic cheddar biscuits on the counter, fridge, or freezer.

  • Counter: If sealed properly, biscuits will last for up to 4 days.
  • Fridge: You’ll get a longer shelf life by storing them in the fridge for up to 7 days.
  • Freezer: Use up any biscuits in your freezer within 3 months for best results.

I’ve saved the raw dough to make the biscuits in advance as well. But find they don’t rise quite as well if saved for later.

Can Dogs Eat Red Lobster Biscuits?

Definitely not! Many dogs can have a difficult time processing flours and dairy.

Which is exactly what these warm biscuits are made of!

In addition, garlic can not only be difficult to process but it can even be toxic for dogs!

So skip giving any biscuits made for humans to your dogs and stick with those dog treats they already know and love.

That way you and your dog can both have the best experience when you make these biscuits.

Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits are warm, buttery, delicious, and pretty irresistible (yes, I may have eaten most of them myself!)

Skip running to the grocery stores to pick up any red lobster mix! Make this with biscuit mix ingredients in your own home instead!
