Let me start off by fessing up.

If I don’t, someone who knows me will call my bluff.

Plus it’s just poor judgement to lie to my readers.

I do NOT like pumpkin.

It is a rare day you can get me to eat pumpkin anything.

Pumpkin pie, nope.

Pumpkin cookies, I’ll pass on as well as just about anything with pumpkin in it.

It is a no thank you from me.

Having said that, that my No Bake Pumpkin Spice Cookies, which contain ZERO pumpkin in them but all the spice, I actually quite enjoy.

I was pleasantly surprised last year when I made my Pumpkin Bars that I liked those too.

Sometimes life surprises you.

However, in general, as a rule of thumb I avoid all things pumpkin.

The problem with this is that Pumpkin is an iconic and key flavor of Autumn.

You can’t have autumn without a few pumpkin flavored treats.

And me being a food blogger, which brings recipes to my favorite people around the world, should probably, though somewhat unwillingly, post a few pumpkin recipes on this fabulous little website of mine.

And so I’ve decided that once a year, every Autumn I’ll post one pumpkin recipe.

This should show you how much I actually love you all.

The problem with this theory, is that as stated before, I don’t actually like pumpkin anything – and neither does my husband or my kids.

This is what we refer to as a major issue.

Because I can’t actually post a recipe here without actually first making it, and second telling you if it’s actually good.

Lucky for me, I have an amazing extended family who likes Pumpkin and is willing to taste test all my pumpkin recipes.
